Chrissy's Card

Good morning everyone, I can't believe its Monday already.  My brother John and his wife Chrissy came across from Manchester yesterday to see my Mum, we had a barbecue and my brother is such a comedian we didn't stop laughing. It was lovely to see my Mum smiling and reminiscing.  Candice also had her boy friend Callum over so altogether there was eight of us.  It was a lovely day, and the weather even held out for us... very windy but no rain!  It is Chrissy's birthday on Tuesday and I made her this card hope you like it....

The photo's are not very good I'm afraid as I took them last minute, almost forgot to take any lol!!
I have used LOTV's new realease 'Quotables' - 'Celebrate' and for the inside 'Set 10' A5 Verses sheet.
Paper is Nit Wit Collections - 'Petal Fresh' and the lovely border die is by Spellbinders 'A2 Curved Borders One'  Also used Lacey Ovals from Spellbinders for the sentiments. Flowers from 'Wild Orchid Crafts' and the lovely butterfly is a 'Inkylicious stamp 'Flutters 1'  I distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz 'Weathered Wood'.

My First Tag!

Good morning everyone, I made this little tag for my grandson who lives in Germany, I haven't seen much of him this year with Mum having her operation, so sent him a little pressie with this attached:)..

This is the reverse side

I have really missed seeing him, and can't wait for next month as we are all going away together Yeh!! can't wait!

For this little tag I used the Art Pad Set 2 (Pre coloured - Jack, Patch & Puss) from LOTV, this has come in so handy for me, as I haven't had much time for colouring, and I love the little tag sentiments! I cut out the image and raised it up a little with sticky squares, and edged it with a jelly roll glitter pen, which doesn't show up to well. I matted some blue dotted paper from my new paper pad 'Nit Wit Collections' by Mary Fran called 'Candles and Cake' also from LOTV, and wrapped some red twine around the tag for some texture... also added a die cut star and put a red star gem in the centre... and the red heart ribbon I got from a show.
This is my very first tag, and I'm quiet pleased how it turned out! hope you like it!

Birthday!....

Good morning everyone.  Had a fabulous Sunday at 'Stamp Magic' at the Dome, here in Doncaster.. Paula always puts on a great show... had to have myself some more of the new stamps at LOTV and today I am using one of the new Sentiment Stamps I bought... and eeek!!! a CAS card.. when I was making it I felt like those youngsters on the Haribo advert, if you don't eat the sweetie you can have another one, and there all looking at it and wanting to eat it, even sitting on there hands so they don't touch it, that was me.... I admire the girls that make these beautiful CAS cards and make them look Stunning with just a little touch of this or that!

I made the inside the same

I have used black Bazzill Card, red and white twine from the Ribbon Girl, the image is one of the new stamps from LOTV, and I added faux stitching around the edge.  My inspiration came from the lovely Jen, who demonstrated how to colour the stamps in different colours, do pop over to her lovely blog especially if you love CAS her cards are amazing!...  I must say I have had loads of embellishments on here but was very brave and took them off again lol!!

You still have a chance to WIN these beautiful stamps as LOTV are having a blog hop and you have until 6PM tonight to enter... I've got fingers, toes and anything else that might cross to win these lovely stamps lol!!...  This candy has now closed.

Never To Old For Cupcake

Good morning everyone,
Wow! what a fantastic week-end I've had... I had a fabulous day on Saturday, I went to LOTV's open day with my daughter Deborah, we had a lovely time, spent all our money on the fabulous new stamps.  I bought a few more Art Pads as well!, some flowers, lace, dies a new MS punch better stop now unless my hubby reads this lol!!!  We also had cake and tea, and I met some lovely ladies, we also won a couple of lovely prizes too!... I was well and truly smiling like a Cheshire Cat when I got back lol!!
Anyway less of my dribble and on to my card which I made for a young lass in our shop, she makes the most gorgeous cakes and cupcakes, and always brings us in something nice for our birthdays, so I thought this card was ideal for her birthday... It's a lovely stamp from LOTV  called 'Never to old for cupcake...

I was in such a rush to give this to her, that I only took one photo, and it's not that brilliant either!! I coloured her with my Prisma Pencils and the paper was so pretty I didn't want to hide it with another layer. The pad was 'Spring Drop' by 'First Edition' I made the two little flowers in the corner from some lace I had and put a coloured brad in the centre. The lovely pearls are from the 'Hobby House', The gorgeous lace was a present from the lovely Kat at 'Krafty Kat Designs', and the flowers are from 'Wild Orchid Designs'. I decorated the inside to, but didn't take a photo!
