Christmas Tree Guy

Good morning everyone, Brrr!! it's cold this morning, and we've also had a little bit of sleet this week-end!! Do You think we will have a white Christmas!!  Well it's Tuesday and time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly.. we had a fabulous response last week well over 300 entries!!! Our challenge for this week is 'Paper Play'... Dawny would love to see you make your own flowers, borders, embellishments etc from paper, that's what a lot of us do any way, so nice and easy... you can also add some ribbon if you fancy:)....  I have used this super cute image from Karen's Doodles called 'Christmas Tree Guy'... he is such a happy chappy and so easy to colour, I used my Inktense Pencils, the paper wasn't the best to use for these pencils but it doesn't look too bad does it! I glittered it all up with Glamour Dust and added gold glitter to his little bells on his shoes... on the sentiment I added Gesso to add a bit of texture...

We are sponsored by Katherina this week at Whiff of Joy Stamps, so a lovely prize up for grabs... I know you are all very busy as it's so close to Christmas, but if you get a chance, sit down with a nice cup of coffee, maybe topped up with something warming... purely just to warm you of course lol!! and take some time out and join in with us... we would love to see your lovely makes!

You're Wonderful

Good morning everyone, it's a real winters day here in Yorkshire, cold, wet and blowy bbrrrr!!! Santa's on his way lol!!  I think I only realized that yesterday when the calender went forward and there, with a red ring around it, was the date when my lovely family from Germany arrive!! eek!! it's only three weeks away and still so much to do lol!! We went away for the week-end to Debs and had such a relaxing time, went to the Christmas Vintage Fair at Worcester, and had mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts mmmm!!! and the weather was very kind to us too!!

Anyway onto my card for 'Papertake Weekly'... which is 'Anything Goes' with the option of making a Christmas gift or decoration.  I haven't had much time this week for myself, so I would like to share this card I made for a special lady who I met whilst shopping for crafty goodies, and we have become quiet good friends, you can see her fabulous blog here.

The gorgeous paper is from a pad by Craftwork Cards called 'Time Flies' and the sentiment is a LOTV Verses and Quotes stamp (Set 61) which I stamped straight onto the paper, no colouring required lol!.. I added black pearls and ribbon and a lovely butterfly from Magnolia it also has black pearls on but doesn't show on the photo's  and a filigree corner from La La Land.
Isn't this little tag gorgeous... I won a lovely prize from Bugaboo digi stamps and this is one of the images I chose. ( I wouldn't of known if it wasn't for Carole... she told me to check my challenges:).. I coloured the little butterflies with my inktense pencils to match the papers...

Now you could win a fabulous prize too as LOTV are sponsoring our challenge this week and are giving the winner a lovely voucher to spend in there shop.. do pop across to the main challenge blog and see what amazing makes my lovely teamies have for you this week, there is a lovely lady joining the team this week too!!
