Just To Say....

Hi everyone, here we are nearly out of May, can you believe it, where are these weeks going too!!.. hope you all had a fabulous bank holiday week-end, we have been painting and getting things ready so the estate agents can come and take some photo's of Debs house. I am happy and sad when I think about her moving, but it's a fabulous opportunity for her and Candice.... but I will miss seeing them every day.. although we do have skype, so I think that will be well used lol!!

Anyway onto today's challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly'.. Dawny has done a lovely sketch for us, but as always you can choose one of the older ones if you prefer, which are here!... I love using a sketch, as it's a good place to start especially if Mr Mojo has gone walk about lol!! Sorry about the pants photo, the colours are not really true as the ribbon is a lot lighter and co-ordinates much better in real life, I've been trying and trying to get a decent photo, but this is about the best... sorry!  I have used this gorgeous fairy stamp that I won at LOTV and she is called 'Petal' isn't she just lovely.  I think she can be used for so many different occasions.   I have finally got around to having a go with my inktense pencils, they are a lot different than my distress pens but I love the vibrant colours, but I need a lot of practise with them.  This is a very glittery card as I've used lots of star dust stickles and also some liquid pearls.  The papers are also from LOTV.

Oh so Cute!

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a fabulous week, wasn't the week-end just gorgeous.  I even managed to go to a Land Rover show with David and a crafting show with Debs.. then a nice BBQ on Sunday the first one of the season... my brother John and Chrissy came also, so there was seven of us altogether, it was great we had a bit of a celebration for my Mom's 87th Birthday, she loved it!

My card today is for Papertake Weekly, and Dawny would love to see something 'Cute' it was so hard to choose as I have so many lovely images.  I did want to use one of my new fairy stamps but my week has just flown bye.  I still haven't got around to trying my inktense pencils yet either!!  So I chose one of my trusty Art Pad images and isn't this just the cutest little bear you have ever seen lol!!  I glittered Jenny the bear with cotton candy stickles and matted her onto a spellbinders square scalloped die. I also made a daisy flower, the pink is a lot softer in real life. I inked all the card with a lovely soft pink, but it doesn't show up very well on the photos.

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a great week-end, mine has been a bit up and down. My lovely daughter might be moving.. she is not only my daughter but my best friend too and I love seeing her everyday, I will really miss that :(  I have got a few months yet though, and I'm really pleased for her as she so deserves this opportunity.

We both went to the LOTV 10th Birthday celebrations on Saturday and had such a lovely time.  Must just tell you too, that my card for there 10th Birthday was in the top 5... boy was I excited, what a fabulous start to a week-end!!

We met the LOTV team and what lovely ladies they are, we picked up so many handy tips.. and lots of goodies fell into our baskets too.. and this lovely image on my card is one of them, it's from one of the new 'Art pads' called ' Beautiful Blooms', I glittered it all up and used perfect pearls dotted around for a little texture, I saw this on some of the cards on Saturday and it really looks so pretty. The card is for my Mum as it's her birthday next Monday, she'll be 87years young.. bless her:)

It's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly'.. and this week it's 'Pretty Pastels' it's self explanatory really, the fabulous team have made some beautiful cards, so do come and join in, also there is a lovely prize to be won every week too.

Come And Grow Old With Me

Good morning everyone, hope you have all had a great long week-end, did you manage to get any crafting done, or have you been in the garden?....  it was lovely and sunny here in Yorkshire but a little chilly still for me lol!!

It's Tuesday already, so time for another fabulous challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' it's a nice simple one today 'Anything Goes', there is a little twist of 'No patterned Paper' if you fancy a bit of a challenge but it is optional!

For my card I chose to use no patterned paper.  I used an embossing folder, which I got free with one of my magazines, and a lovely image from 'Bugaboo Digi Stamps' called 'Grow Old With Me' I coloured it with my Tim Holtz distress markers. After I had coloured it I realized it was an image I had printed on my computer some months ago and the distress inks hadn't run, I was well chuffed, so I am going to give some of my other digi's a go with my distress inks, as I really love working with them!  I wanted the image to be the focal point so kept it quiet simple, hope you like it...

I used Olive Green card stock, but it looks black on the photo, in real life it matches the leaves perfectly! and it's not as harsh as black.

Challenges Entered
Creative Inspirations - Spring Flowers

Well guys, hope you have a fabulous week, pop across now to 'Papertake Weekly' and see what fabulous makes the girls from the design team have made, there is a lovely prize up for grabs too!

You all take care..
Love and Hugs,
Marjorie xx
