UNDER THE MISTLETOE

Good Morning everyone, it's a cold day here in Doncaster..but dry!  I'm busy getting ready for our trip to Germany next week, still have presents too buy....hopefully something will pop into my head before the end of the week lol!!  I'm so excited, can't wait to see my little grandson!
On to my card..it's a LOTV image called under the misletoe....isn't it adorable, I thought it would be ideal for Steven and Nicole. I just loved colouring it in, it's always the choosing of papers and design I struggle with...it amazes me how some cards just come together great...and others you struggle with..I've had a few senior moments with this one lol!! I bought the lovely gold trim from Germany on my last visit, need to buy some more.. I'm getting better with my pencils they are so easy to control ..love them!!  so tried to do the skin, don't think it looks too bad does it?  I've used red pearls in the corners and on the sentiment, and also used liquid pearls for the snow...it looks lovely in real life! Thought I would just mention, LOTV have got 10% off there lovely stamps and free postage......get yourselves over there.. before Santa has the lot lol!!!

Thanks hun :) No cards at the moment, I have a couple in the making but not finished yet:(  Just can't get focused lol!! Just wanted to share this photo with you.....my daughter Deb made this beautiful cake for the girls at work, to raise some funds for Children in need, but they decided to raffle it and ended up with quiet a bit of money for the children, she was well chuffed. Debs also has her own blog here but doesn't have a lot of time to leave posts, she makes the most stunning cards  and I'm really proud of her...love ya hun!!

Funky Felicity

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been away for so long. Have been really busy with one thing and another, not had much time for myself, also mums not been 100%, I am taking her for more tests tomorrow! Have really missed not  blogging though, I think I'm having withdrawal symptom's!!lol!
Anyway on to my card,  she is called Funky Felicity, and was just the right image for Candice's birthday card, I wanted it to be girly and trendy at the same time, you know what 12 year olds are like, everything has to be just so lol!!  I used Bev's sketch, from an lotv challenge I was going to enter, but didn't have time for,  I do love this style of sketch and use it a lot.

 card recipe:
Papers: Papermania "Heather" capsule collection, studio paper and my scrapbox
Image: Digi download "Funky Felicity"
Colouring: Prisma Pencils - Copics for skin
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace/Ribbon: Ribbon Girl
Embellishments: Metal heart slider - Mei flower, gems papermania
Punch: Martha Stewart

I stickled her tulle and ribbon and around the image with stardust stickles, the studio paper is really shiny, can't see it very well, but it gave the card a lovely overall shimmer. The metal corners were from a show, and the metal embellishment in the right hand corner was off a friends wedding table flower arrangement! The lace from ribbon girl is also very sparkly. Candice just loved it!
