Funky Felicity

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been away for so long. Have been really busy with one thing and another, not had much time for myself, also mums not been 100%, I am taking her for more tests tomorrow! Have really missed not  blogging though, I think I'm having withdrawal symptom's!!lol!
Anyway on to my card,  she is called Funky Felicity, and was just the right image for Candice's birthday card, I wanted it to be girly and trendy at the same time, you know what 12 year olds are like, everything has to be just so lol!!  I used Bev's sketch, from an lotv challenge I was going to enter, but didn't have time for,  I do love this style of sketch and use it a lot.

 card recipe:
Papers: Papermania "Heather" capsule collection, studio paper and my scrapbox
Image: Digi download "Funky Felicity"
Colouring: Prisma Pencils - Copics for skin
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace/Ribbon: Ribbon Girl
Embellishments: Metal heart slider - Mei flower, gems papermania 
Punch: Martha Stewart 

I stickled her tulle and ribbon and around the image with stardust stickles, the studio paper is really shiny, can't see it very well, but it gave the card a lovely overall shimmer. The metal corners were from a show, and the metal embellishment in the right hand corner was off a friends wedding table flower arrangement! The lace from ribbon girl is also very sparkly. Candice just loved it!

    This is fantastic! So glad to see you back in blog land again. I'm sorry to hear about your mom, but I do hope things begin to look up for you all.
    As for your card, I'm impressed at your resourcefulness in the elements...I should think to save things from events I attend. Wonderful colors and you are right about 12 year olds wanting things just so-so. However, mine is now 14 and still wants it that way. When does that change? LOL
