Have been in work all week so today is the first day I have had chance to sit for more than five minutes..so thought I would show one last Christmas Card I made for my Mum. I have used the sketch from A Gem of a challenge by Rebekah ...lovely sketch to work with hun really enjoyed making this card, and Mum loved it.  I made the embellishments with a  Marianne snowflake die, and added lovely red roses from WOC to it, and stickled with Gold Stickles. Added Stickles everywhere and used Glossy Accents for the baubles which you can't really see on the photo...sorry!  Does look good in real life though  lol!!

CHRISTMAS SANTA

Good Morning everyone,
Wow! can you believe Christmas is almost upon us!! It's very wet and cold in Doncaster today.  I still have a lot to do, some presents still need to be chosen...I have never been this far behind, but still not feeling a l00%.  I had a house full yesterday for lunch, it was lovely, two of my brothers came, my Mum, Debs, Candice and my little grand-niece Saskia and off course my hubby David.  My bro's live in Mottram, Cheshire and they had at least 3" of snow yesterday, their car was full of snow when they arrived...Candice just loved it.  I just admired it from a distance lol!!
Would like to share some good fortune I  had last week......I won Iulia's anniversary Candy Whoooo!! I couldn't believe it, I was absolutely thrilled!!! Thank you Iulia!!  and I also won a beautiful stamp from lotv's 12 days of Christmas event..also really thrilled and excited!!! LOTV Challenge  has now closed :( but Jacqui and Bev are starting a new one on the 9th January called Lili's Little Faeries.  So pleased as I love these stamps, and I enjoy looking at all the gorgeous creations you all make! and there are some stunning new designers on the team as well.
Hope you like my card for today, not had much time to make any (but still need to lol!) it is what I made for Liam before I went away...he loved it...as we had a special Christmas day and opened all our presents together..he was so excited.  He is such a little treasure.

I made the inside to match the front

I used a Sarah Kay image "Santa with Toys" and coloured it with Prisma Pencils. Papers were "Barely Mine - Christmas Frolics" and "Memory Box - Mistletoe", ribbon was from "The Ribbon Girl" and my little cane I made myself with "Fimo" I couldn't find what I wanted so Deb suggested making one out of Fimo I added a little silver ball and some red ribbon.  This was my first attempt with Fimo, I was really chuffed with how it came out lol!! and my die was from "Go Kreate"  I used glamour dust on his coat and hat..it really is sparkly but not a very good photo...sorry!

Would like to enter for the following Challeges

Red, Green and White

TIMES TO TREASURE

Good morning everyone, it's wet and cold here in Donny today, although the sun is trying to shine:)  I'm getting really excited now, only two days to go before we leave for Germany. Liam will be counting how many sleeps he has left before we get there:) Isn't it lovely to be so innocent and full of expectations!! I mean Liam not me ha!ha!
I'm showing a card I made for Steve and Nicole's anniversary, I used the lovely LOTV die cut - Times to treasure, I love this image, and these die cuts are so handy to have when your mojo goes on holiday lol!! The gorgeous flowers are from WOC and are stickled with Diamond stickles.

I have used:
Paper: My mind's eye - Wild Asparagus
Image: LOTV Times to treasure
Flowers and Lace: Wild Orchid Crafts
Corners: Cuttle bug die
Sentiment: stamp-papermania
Embellishments: My stash

I did match the inside, but didn't take a photo..silly me. I'm hoping to get another post done tomorrow, as I've almost finished Liam's Christmas card, but that will be the last until I get back next week.  Hopefully I will have a chance to get into my craft room, as it will be a mad rush putting up the Christmas tree etc...unless one of Santa's little elves comes and does it for me!  Not finished Christmas shopping yet either..maybe the lovely German markets have some wonderful gifts to show me lol!!

I'm entering for the following challenges:

See you tomorrow (I hope..if not will see you when I get back) just going to do a bit of wandering..to see what you lovely ladies are up too. Thank you for visiting..love all your comments you leave.  Have a lovely day mwah!

On to my card..it's a LOTV image called under the misletoe....isn't it adorable, I thought it would be ideal for Steven and Nicole. I just loved colouring it in, it's always the choosing of papers and design I struggle with...it amazes me how some cards just come together great...and others you struggle with..I've had a few senior moments with this one lol!! I bought the lovely gold trim from Germany on my last visit, need to buy some more.. I'm getting better with my pencils they are so easy to control ..love them!!  so tried to do the skin, don't think it looks too bad does it?  I've used red pearls in the corners and on the sentiment, and also used liquid pearls for the snow...it looks lovely in real life! Thought I would just mention, LOTV have got 10% off there lovely stamps and free postage......get yourselves over there.. before Santa has the lot lol!!!

Funky Felicity

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been away for so long. Have been really busy with one thing and another, not had much time for myself, also mums not been 100%, I am taking her for more tests tomorrow! Have really missed not  blogging though, I think I'm having withdrawal symptom's!!lol!
Anyway on to my card,  she is called Funky Felicity, and was just the right image for Candice's birthday card, I wanted it to be girly and trendy at the same time, you know what 12 year olds are like, everything has to be just so lol!!  I used Bev's sketch, from an lotv challenge I was going to enter, but didn't have time for,  I do love this style of sketch and use it a lot.

sneak peak at the inside
 card recipe:
Papers: Papermania "Heather" capsule collection, studio paper and my scrapbox
Image: Digi download "Funky Felicity"
Colouring: Prisma Pencils - Copics for skin
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace/Ribbon: Ribbon Girl
Embellishments: Metal heart slider - Mei flower, gems papermania
Punch: Martha Stewart

I stickled her tulle and ribbon and around the image with stardust stickles, the studio paper is really shiny, can't see it very well, but it gave the card a lovely overall shimmer. The metal corners were from a show, and the metal embellishment in the right hand corner was off a friends wedding table flower arrangement! The lace from ribbon girl is also very sparkly. Candice just loved it!

Warm and Cozy

Good morning everyone,
Firstly I would just like to mention it's breast cancer awareness month in the US, I lost a good friend not so long ago, and my thoughts go out to all women and  men who battle with this.  Don't forget girls its important to check regularly.,
On a lighter note...Mr sunshine is shining today, but it is cold.  Autumn is well and truly here!  My mum is also feeling so much better now. On Sunday we were doing the family tree, mum had so many stories, Candice and Deborah were there too, we had a lovely Sunday breakfast and then a Barbie in the evening, it's been great, Candice had a project on family history, and  Deborah has been in her element, looking for long lost family, it's surprising what you come up with, my mums so chuffed to find out things about her mum and dad, she doesn't know it yet, but she is from Irish descent!
So on to my card...I've made a card for lotv, and used another die cut, isn't she a beauty!! I just love all of these images, and have bought a lot from different shows...talking about shows, we have another one at the dome in Doncaster on Sunday... here we go again, as a blogging buddy said to me last time beans on toast all week lol!!!

Isn't she gorgeous and that little cat is purrrfect!

I wish you could see the papers better, they are stunning, they glitter and shimmer like you wont believe!  I've glittered up the flowers with diamond stickles, and Millys little leggings and the collar around her little cat with glamour dust. The flowers are chocolate brown, and I just love that big pink Gardenia from WOC

Good morning from a wet and drizzly day in Doncaster!!  What happened to good old Mr. Sun Shine lol!!
I would just like to say a big Hi to all my new followers, and a big thank you for all the lovely comments everyone left, they really do make my day :) (and I had so many wow!!)
I had two lovely surprises...I won some beautiful flowers from WOC for my Little Hazel card, also a £15 voucher for Paper Shelter from Bearly Mine Challenge! I still haven't come down to earth yet lol!! There are so many amazing cards out there and I am just thrilled to have been chosen!!
Haven't had much time for crafting, as I have my mum with me, she isn't very well, flu and a chest infection, poor sausage she has felt right under the weather.
On to my card for today, it's for LOTV challenge "Let it Snow" and quiet a few more looking at my list on the bottom lol!!  I have used a die cut square from lotv, they are so handy when you don't have a lot of time, I just love these gorgeous polar bears. I have coloured the die cut a little to make the colours stand out more, and have blinged it to death with glitter and glamour dust he!he! (Also my craft room, it's everywhere lol!) My papers are from Donna again, called "Christmas Dreams" and they are gorgeous. Hope my icicle border looks o.k. didn't have an icicle punch so used my grass punch and covered it with lovely white glitter that looks like snow also my leaves and inner snowflake were done with the same stuff!! Can't see it very well on photo but the whole card shimmers with glamour dust and glitter, also used some gems in the middle of the snowflakes!!

Hope you can see the effect better on this photo.

Hazel the witch

Good Morning everyone,
Have had a really funny week, not ha!ha! but mood swings, really felt under the weather, especially on Monday really had the blues....but feeling a lot better today, my grandaughter says its my hormones ha!ha! But you can't let it get on top of you so I flung myself in to making a card for Candice for Halloween...not my favourite holiday, but I think you will agree with me this image by Sylvia Zet is absolutly gorgeous, she is such a hunny:).  I haven't put any flowers on, which was really hard, but had to make it a little bit girly so added two lovely black ribbon bows on my lace.  I didn't want to hide the papers as they are really stunning, they are freebies from bearly mine.  Donna is such a generous person, and has the most beautiful papers, if you haven't been on her site, please take a look you wont be dissapointed!!  Don't you just love that little bat, he has such adoration in his eyes for little Hazel, anyone who has a pet knows that look LOL!!
I have used three types of papers from Bearly mine, matted on to black card, black guipure lace from WOC. Image is a digi download from Sylvia Zet, and I have coloured it in with prisma pencils (which I love..) I resized one of Donnas papers, and cut out the spider webs to put into the corners, think they have come out quiet well don't you? I have put a papermania adhesive shimmer dot on all the spider webs for a bit of bling. Also some glitter on Hazels lace on her dress.
I must just share this with you, I made top three at Lily of the valley last week for my little ivy card, I was walking on air last week, I was so thrilled, couldn't believe it when I saw my name on there LOL!!  Maybe thats why I was so blue on Monday, I had used up all my carma!!lol!!

A peek at the insided

Christmas Magic

Hi everyone, I can't believe a week has gone since I last posted!! I've been trying to catch up with some house work, and my craft room for some reason needs a lot of hoovering lol!  My image today is called "Christmas Magic" and it is one of lotv die cuts I bought last year.  Isn't she just adorable, and don't you just love the lovely fairy, and teddy!.  I have glittered her with glamour dust and have used red stickles, and liquid pearls to make her stand out a little more.  I have used Bev's tuturial on how to glitter a flower with twinklets, to make my poinsettia, which is from woc.  You can't really see how glittery it is, I  have spent all morning trying to get the right effect but I am still not happy, hope you can see the sparkle!!

Well this is a trial post I wanted to show you my lovely prize I received from The Ribbon Girls in August.   I know it's a bit late, but it is the first prize I have ever won!!  Thank you Mary and Andrea!!

Melinda Blowing Kisses

Good Morning everyone,

First I would just like to say a "BIG" welcome and thank you to all my lovely new followers, I do appreciate your time and comments, and love to visit your lovely blogs too!
Where has this week gone!! David and I are off to Germany on Saturday for a week to stay with Steve, Nicole and our gorgeous grandson Liam, who is only three!! The tickets have been booked since May time, but when I came to book parking yesterday, they had booked Frankfurt - Manchester instead of Manchester - Frankfurt!!!!... Lucky for us, Steve and Nicole managed to get us flights a day later:) so we are still going!! Whooo ! We had no refund though, and they wouldn't let Steve and family come here or credit for another time. Very frustrating!!
Anyway not had much time for making cards, have made one for Debs, as it's her birthday the day we get back, and as you know bought ones are out of the question LOL!!! I don't know how I'm going to get it on my blog yet without her seeing it too soon, as I want to enter it for the WOC challenge.  I might try and do it from Germany!
Anyway I thought I would share this card with you, I made a few months back for Candice.  I have used Whiff of Joy stamp Melinda Blowing kisses and I have made my own flowers, I did colour her in promarkers, which I'm not very good with. I didn't write any names of paper used either, as I picked it up from my local craft shop. I put all little sparkly gems on the die at the back, and glittered her wings and flowers on her trousers,  Stickled all the flowers and swirls, but it doesn't show up very well on my photo sorry!!

I would like to enter this for the following challenges

Will try and get a card done for LOTV, but I don't hold out much hope, too much to do and not enough time ha!ha! Thanks for dropping bye, I still get excited when someone visits:)
Big Hugs Mwah!!

Miss Piggy

Good evening everyone,
Just a quick post wanted to put this card on the 2 sisters challenge for my granddaughter Candice.  She makes some beautiful cards and I'm really proud of her.  So here is a card she made for my mum (her gran gran) for her birthday.

I can't remember exactly what she used as most of it was out of my scrap box.  The sentiment is from LOTV and the die is a Dienamics die.  I think her piggy is a papermania stamp. Brads and flowers are from my stash, and she has stickled the brads.  She has used glossy accents on her nose.
My mum loved it that much she has framed it!!.
Hope you all have a good evening, and hope you pop bye and leave a little comment for Candice, she would be really thrilled.
Lots of hugs,
Marjorie

Lazy Afternoon

Good Morning everyone,
Can't believe its a week already since I last posted.  I have been busy at work all week, everyone is taking there holidays now, so lots of extra hours to fill in at work.  Candice is is enjoying the school break, and has been a little gem, has been so helpful!! It was my hubbys 65th birthday on Monday so just managed to squeeze a card in this week, as bought ones just will not do now LOL!!
I have used a LOTV stamp called Lazy afternoon, which I would have liked him to have had, as he never stops, he's always working!! I have used Domi's sketch, but turned it around alittle, hope this still qualifies for the challenge! Hope you can see my clouds this time, I have used my chalks again for the sky and grass, and used copper stickles to give it a bit of bling.  The gold ribbon had  a life of its own, it was off a chocolate box, which Debs my daughter gave me (the ribbon, not the chocolates lol)

Time For A Cuppa

Good Afternoon everyone,
I have had no electricity all morning, so this will have to be a rushed post as I have to work later.  Had a great time at the week-end, we had a craft show in Doncaster and my daughter and I went for both days!!  It was manic on Saturday and very hot, so Deb and I decided to go again on Sunday to see the demonstrations, the girls are just fantastic,so many ideas!!  They make it look so easy, but when you get home its another story ha! ha!  We met some lovely people, and I had a chat with Bev and Jaquie, both so helpful and kind, really nice people!! Anyway on to my card, not very happy with the photography the pinks all look different, the colour I chose was quiet hard to match up, so painted some of my flowers, and stickled everything!! I've just noticed my ribbon isn't straight, I must have moved it when I put the flowers in at the bottom of the image, it's all set now so can't move it!!  I would like to put this in for LOTV challenge Blue & Pink.

Little Ellie

Good Morning everyone,
I have been really busy this week and it's only Wednesday LOL!  I just don't know where the time goes sometimes. Well without more ado, onto my little card this morning.  I just love this image from LOTV, I have used Donalda's Sketch which is lovely, I always tend to go for the same sort of layout, so this was something different for me.  A friend of my son's in Germany has just had a little girl called Lia, so made her this card, I've really enjoyed doing it, as everything seemed to come together.  I coloured little Ellie in prismas and made my own flower with a die from Marianne, have used this so many times, I just love them.  I don't know what the papers are though as I've had them in my box forever LOL!! I do know the heart one is Papermania. I've stickled everything!  I wanted to use glitter, but am never happy with the result, need some lessons! Will have to go hunting on utube!

She is doing well, back chatting her mum already by all accounts ha!ha! Do pop over to pop's place for updates on her recovery (also have a look at the gorgeous puppies that have just arrived).
The card I sent to Sammie, was my very first attempt at colouring in with prisma pencils, and has been sitting in my special basket of cards... and like me I hope Sammie just goes from strength to strength!! Get well quickly Sammie!!

It was for my hubby's collegue at work, his little boy was getting Christened.  What a beautiful day it was, and the weather was superb. Anyway enougth waffle!!  I coloured Baby image with Prisma pencils and his skin with copics, which I find a lot easier than promarkers. Lovely wild orchid roses which I blitzed with stickles.

This is a Peek inside, Photo isn't too great (sorry).

Hope you like my card I am going to enter this for LOTV Challenge. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.  I get so excited when some nice lady has visited me and taken time out to leave me a little word - Thank you!  If you get a chance nip over to Pops Place, her little girl Sammie is having a big op soon, and is very nervous, if you could send her a little card I think you just might brighten her day and let her know she's not on her own, and lots of people are thinking about her.
Hope you all have a lovely day,
Huggles,
Marjorie
