Something for the Boys.....

Good morning all... what a mixed bag of weather we are having, I still find it hard to believe we are in June lol!!.. Hope you all had a great week. I went to the Stamp Magic show at Doncaster Dome on Sunday, it was hosted by Paula from 'Which Craft' and what a fabulous show it was.. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I wasn't going to go as my daughter Debs couldn't make it, I was a bit dubious about going on my own but off I went and had a lovely time... Watched a few demonstrations on Multi Media, painting and inking.... really learnt a lot!.. the girls were all so helpful and full of inspiration and encouragement. I'm really eager to try Multi Media so bought some paints and grunge paste and some really lovely stamps which I will share over the coming weeks.. I'm really eager to give this new technique a try, I just can't wait to get into my craft room now lol!!

As it's Tuesday again it's time for another challenge over at 'Paper Take Weekly' and this week it's to make something for the boys... It can be a Fathers day card or simply just a card for a man or boy, or even a baby card.... I've been playing with my inks and stamps this week and this is what I did...  I stamped my image on a plain sheet of card then started to colour all around it with my inks I stamped some extra images on there too, to create a back drop for the image.... I stamped a separate image, coloured it in and cut it out and then decoupaged it... I quiet like the result and it's something different for me. I ruffed all the edges and inked the cogs and corners and the jute mesh ribbon was originally bright pink lol!! I dyed it with several different colours of distress inks, quiet like the way it turned out.. I went around all the edges with wax gilt to give it a metal look, it does look a lot nicer in real life, the backing paper is more of a green colour...
