Thunder Lizzy

Good morning everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a while.  I still have a  few more busy weeks ahead, just trying to catch up with everything,  have been quiet busy with hospital appointments for Mum too...also need to sort my craft room again, as Liam will be here next week (and this doubles as his bedroom..have to move quiet a lot, as you can imagine what a four year old can get up too lol!!) Steve and family are coming for a week....can't wait!!
I've just finished a card for Liam as he is four this week...where has time gone too, it doesn't seem five minutes since he was born.
Anyway on to my card...I loved this stamp as soon as I saw it, it's from the Crissy Armstrong collection at Whimsy Stamps I have really enjoyed colouring this one in, and have got a little of my mojo back, as my colouring wasn't going where I wanted it too, I found a lovely blog, Moni  makes the most beautiful cards and her colouring is stunning, she has a lovely tutorial on colouring with Prismas which I found really helpful.  I'm not very good with colour, so some of her tips really helped! I also think the paper I was using wasn't quiet right for Prismas, coloured this on a more rough paper, it's one I got from one of the shows, I also use it to make my card bases .. I do think it gives the pencils more density of colour. (sorry don't know the name of it but it is 300gm weight).  The papers I used are absolutely gorgeous, they were a birthday present from Deb a few years ago, I was going to use them to scrapbook Liam when he was a baby...and now he's four lol!! I just love this pennant die from Whimsy stamps too..lots of things you can do with them!!

A peek at the inside

Bunches of Love

Good morning everyone, very cloudy and overcast here today, still no rain I.  I hope we get some soon as it looks like we will be in for water restrictions if we don't!  Would like to say a Big Hello to all my lovely new followers, do appreciate your time too come and visit mwah!!
Well I've managed to get my Mum's Mothers Day card done, really pleased with how it's turned out, changed the layout several times, and had a few goes at colouring lol!! I tried my promarkers again, but got so frustrated with them, chucked them back in the box!! I just can't use them, so I went back to my trusty Prisma pencils.
My little white spots on their little cheeks haven't shown up, I did do it very lightly as I thought I might mess up lol!!, but it looks quiet nice in real life!

I have used Bunches of love by LOTV, and coloured with my Prismas. The gorgeous paper is by Nitwit designs.  I bought the paper ready printed from Witch Craft, which I'm lucky to have in my local Town centre, you can't see on the photo but it's really glossy and the butterflies stand out from the paper really gorgeous! The wording on the paper just sums up how we all feel about my Mum, she is Ace as Candice would say lol!!  The beautiful ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl, and I have used a Lace edge punch by Martha Stewart, hope this qualifies for the  LOTV Challenge as I tried putting real lace on, and it took away the look of that gorgeous ribbon!  I punched out a butterfly also by Martha Stewart, and those corners are the new release from Whimsy Stamps, there's four altogether and all delish!!  My sentiment was computer generated, and of course everything is stickled with star dust.

This is the inside, kept it quiet plain as I wanted to show off the gorgeous paper (Also I ran out of that beautiful ribbon lol!!)

Flowers

Good morning everyone, a quick post as I'm working every day for the next two weeks everyone is taking there leave before the end of March so loads of over time to do!! so don't get much ME time lol!! Really behind with my cards as it's Mothers Day,  Liams birthday is at the end of March, and it's Easter NO cards done yet, really do need to get a move on lol!!
So I thought I would share another of my oldies..I made this for a very dear friend in South Africa, I hadn't discovered Wild Orchid Crafts then, or blogs!!  My love then was Papermania, and I used to visit our local Range store where Jo Austin used to demonstrate how to make beautiful cards, what a lovely lady, it used to be so exciting..(still is lol!!) she used to show us all sorts of things, not knowing anything about making cards, it was a whole new adventure lol!!
Anyway time is ticking he! he!....

The card is Bazzill, and the papers are Papermania "Pink Parfait" and Forever Friends "For You" ..lovely papers and they will last the test of time as they are classic, girly and just beautiful.. My image is a beautiful stamp from Just Rite..I had a crush on these at one time lol!! I coloured with Papermania Whisper pens..Butterfly is a Papermania punch and lace and embellishments were probably from the range.
Hope you like it...hopefully I can get round to visit over the week-end...Hope you all have a great week, and thanks for popping bye, really do appreciate your visits and lovely comments...
