Wow! It's Tuesday already and it's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and the theme this week is 'For The Boys'. My card today is for my younger brother who has just turned 60.. bless:).. He has always been a lover of the American Indian culture, and I saw this image ages ago and thought it would be great for Ken's 60th, because he is the big chief now lol!!! the company that produced this image is no longer online so I am so glad I got it when I did.
I have coloured this lovely chief with my Tim Holtz distress inks. His face is coloured with Derwent colour soft pencils, it's the first time I've used them and had to go on the internet to get some tips, as I wasn't quiet sure how you blended them.. I am really pleased how it turned out and my brother loved it.. I struggled to find embellishments so made the little wigwam my self. The back ground papers I have had for years and the strip down the middle is LOTV - 'Father Knows Best' paper pack. The numbers were plain chipboard which I embossed with gold embossing powder. I die cut the corner and the happy birthday and embossed them too. The sentiment is from LOTV scroll sentiments.. I use this such a lot. The ribbon is from 'The Ribbon Girl'

Hope you all have a great day on Sunday as it is 'Fathers Day', my own Dad passed away 15 years ago, he would of loved this card too as my brother and him had very similar tastes. I know my hubby will be thoroughly spoilt by my Mum, Debs and Candice and of course Me lol!!! He will also get a lovely Skype call from Steven, Nicole and Liam from Germany....
