Super Striker

Good morning everyone:) Are we really into the first week of March already, it seems forever since I last posted, but here I am back again, and hope to be able to blog a little more often.... my hubby retired recently and we are trying to get into some kind of routine lol!! it is a bit hit and miss with my crafting at the moment so I'm just taking one day at a time...  I have managed to make a card for my grandsons 7th Birthday... just don't know where the time has gone since he was first born... he is really into football at the moment so thought this cute image from LOTV fitted the bill perfectly.

Also it's another great challenge over at Papertake Weekly The challenge this week is Anything Goes with an option of using flowers if you like... No flowers from me this week though, although I did think about adding a few daisies in the grass, then thought better of it lol!!

The image is called Super Striker and I have coloured him with my inktense pencils, I finally had a chance to use this lovely die from MFT called chicken wire. I think it makes a fabulous net with a little cheese cloth behind it. I decoupaged the football to make it stand out a little more too but you can't really see it in the photo's. I used the pieces from the chicken wire die to mount Liam's name on, they were just the right size!

LOTV are sponsoring us this week and there's a £10 voucher for the lucky winner!!

Hope you will join us this week, we would love to see all your gorgeous cards.  Do pop along to the main blog and check out what the rest of the team have done!!

What a fabulous Christmas and New Year David and I have had... we had all our family here for Christmas and then New Year we took my Mum with us down to Deborah's in Worcester and we had a such a lovely time!! but all good things come to an end lol!! and it's time to get back into the swing of things! ... so being Tuesday it's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly and seeing it's the beginning of the month it's Anything Goes with the option of making a 'Thank You' card or gift.... I think I've slipped up a bit with this card as I should of printed the image onto watercolour paper or cream card as it doesn't look quiet right to me... also maybe the image could of been a bit bigger too!! but no time to create another one... I do love this image it's one I won from Bugaboo last year, and I think it will get used a lot.... The lovely vertical dies Santa sent me lol!! I loved these when I saw them on Liz's blog, I think they will be so useful!!

You're Wonderful

Good morning everyone, it's a real winters day here in Yorkshire, cold, wet and blowy bbrrrr!!! Santa's on his way lol!!  I think I only realized that yesterday when the calender went forward and there, with a red ring around it, was the date when my lovely family from Germany arrive!! eek!! it's only three weeks away and still so much to do lol!! We went away for the week-end to Debs and had such a relaxing time, went to the Christmas Vintage Fair at Worcester, and had mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts mmmm!!! and the weather was very kind to us too!!

Anyway onto my card for 'Papertake Weekly'... which is 'Anything Goes' with the option of making a Christmas gift or decoration.  I haven't had much time this week for myself, so I would like to share this card I made for a special lady who I met whilst shopping for crafty goodies, and we have become quiet good friends, you can see her fabulous blog here.

The gorgeous paper is from a pad by Craftwork Cards called 'Time Flies' and the sentiment is a LOTV Verses and Quotes stamp (Set 61) which I stamped straight onto the paper, no colouring required lol!.. I added black pearls and ribbon and a lovely butterfly from Magnolia it also has black pearls on but doesn't show on the photo's  and a filigree corner from La La Land.
Isn't this little tag gorgeous... I won a lovely prize from Bugaboo digi stamps and this is one of the images I chose. ( I wouldn't of known if it wasn't for Carole... she told me to check my challenges:).. I coloured the little butterflies with my inktense pencils to match the papers...

Now you could win a fabulous prize too as LOTV are sponsoring our challenge this week and are giving the winner a lovely voucher to spend in there shop.. do pop across to the main challenge blog and see what amazing makes my lovely teamies have for you this week, there is a lovely lady joining the team this week too!!

Cold Hands Warm Heart

Good Morning everyone from a cold and frosty Yorkshire!! it was -2 this morning when I woke up brrrr! thank heavens for central heating lol!! It's Tuesday again so that means it's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and we have something a little bit different for you this week. Dawny has still created a lovely sketch for you to follow, but if sketches are not your thing there are now three other choices for you to choose from....

It's a sketch / take your pick combi

So you can either do the sketch (it's still a sketchie free for all so you can do any) or you can do one of  the following -

Colour challenge - blues and greens excluding skin and hair tones

Technique - masking, using 2 or more stamps

Product - ribbon or lace

You can also combine any / all if you want.

I have gone with just a sketch

Sketch #96

I have changed some of the elements around a little to fit in with what I wanted to do, I have used a lovely image from LOTV called Cold Hands Warm Heart I had such fun colouring this in with my inktense pencils, but went a bit over board with my liquid pearls... it looks like my little snow man and his lady friend are in a snow storm lol!! You can't see on the photo but I used black gems for their eyes and buttons it really stands out in real life.. lots of snow-tex and glamour dust, I was quiet sparkly myself when I had finished lol!!

A lovely Gift Voucher is up for grabs this week from
