Friend...

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a fabulous bank holiday!! .. sorry I had no card last week but I'm a little snowed under at the moment.. overtime at work, and having David at home doesn't leave me with a lot of spare time lol!! David's hips are a little better, the pain doesn't seem to be as intense as it was before the injection, and he's having physio now as well!... we are waiting now for another appointment to have another injection in to his other hip, so fingers crossed!!..

Well it's Tuesday and time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly'... and this week it's 'Anything Goes'  with the option of  'No Pattern Paper'...  I can't take any credit for the card I've made this week as the layout I found on the internet or a magazine, but this is my take on it, can't remember exactly where I saw it now sorry!!..

Card Recipe
Paper - Glitz - Pretty in Pink
Die - Spellbinders Labels 22
Flowers - Ribbon Girl and WOC
Sentiment - LOTV

We are sponsored by the lovely girls over at LOTV this week there is a £10 voucher to be won so do pop along to the main challenge blog and see what my lovely teamies have done and join in the fun!

I'm struggling a bit at the moment with my weight!!... it's been six weeks now that I've been trying to loose a few pounds but the chocolate bar and cake always wins at the moment!!  I now weigh 1 kilo heavier than when I started....  This week I'm determined not to have any chocolate or cake, and I really must do more exercise, will let you know how I go on next week, it doesn't help either that Mr. Mojo has packed his bags and go on annual leave lol!!
Anyway you all have a lovely week,
Take care,
Love and Hugs,
Marjorie xx

Time To Have Fun

Good morning everyone, I'm running around like a headless chicken at the moment lol!! Deborah moves down to Worcester next week and then two days later we go to Spain on our holidays yaaayh!! I think we will all be glad to get on the ferry and just relax and not have to think about anything!! We have an over night stay on the ferry so it will give us all time to recover from the last few months, we have had lots of ups and downs, and some disappointments but that is all behind us now and we are going to have 18 days of sunshine, beaches lovely food and lots of fun!!. We are going overland in the Land Rover, our first stop is only one hour away from the Ferry terminal as we don't dock until 18.00 hrs.. on our second stop over we will be staying in Madrid for two days. Candice loves cities and she has studied Spanish this year so it will give her an insight to what the people and the culture are like... then we are off too Calpe for a whole 7 days in a villa, it has it's own swimming pool and we are not far from the sea a two minute walk and we will be on lovely beaches, so, so looking forward to that... then we start to travel back and have a night at Cuenca where the famous hanging houses are.. a bit scary but the scenery looks out of this world, then we go to a lovely place called La Posada De Gallegos for Deborah's birthday... then onto Larendo for two nights before we catch the ferry home. I will post some photo's when I get back as I think we are going to see some amazing sights!

Hope your still with me, as it's time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and being the first Tuesday of the month it's Anything Goes, there is an OPTION to use some torn paper on your card if you want too...

Liam loves Lightening McQueen it is one of his favourite characters, it is very glittery but red is a devil of a colour to photograph!!.... The image is off the internet and I coloured it with promarkers and prisma pencils and added two googly eyes!.. I die cut the letters and embossed them with red glittery embossing powder and attached them too a spellbinders ribbon die... the papers are from Bearly Mine and the lovely sentiment is from LOTV, who are our sponsors this week, so do come and play along with us and you could win a lovely £10 Voucher...

Challenges Entered
To do later

Did you buy any goodies from LOTV's  new Christmas collection!!  I wanted everything but I didn't come up on the lottery this week lol!! but I did buy a few nice stamps, and the sentiments, and gorgeous papers, not a lot of time for crafting at the moment, but can't wait to have a play, and I'm sure lots of goodies will fall into my basket over the next few months too lol!!! ... That's it from me but do pop along to Papertake Weekly and see what my lovely teamies have done... you all take care and have a lovely week!

Stars And Stripes

Good morning, well here we are well into the second week of July, hope all the girls in the USA had a fabulous 4th July!! I bet there were lots of fire works and party's going on over the week-end!... We had our own celebrations here in Yorkshire this week-end, what a fabulous turn out it was for the Tour De France!! It brought back so many memories for me and my hubby as David and Steven used to do all the cycle race's in South Africa, they were both very big into cycling!!  My South African followers would know the well known 'Die Burger' cycle run, 'The Argus -PicknPay Rotary cycle tour, 'False Bay Round Table' Cape Point cycle tour just to name a few!! these were all back in the late eighty's and ninety's... It's a fabulous feeling of pride to be part of such an amazing event, and Yorkshire really did the tour proud... 'Well Done Yorkshire'!! We mustn't forget to mention Lewis Hamilton too, what a fabulous win for this great racing driver!!!

Christmas in July

Good morning everyone, Time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and being the first of the month it's Anything Goes with the option of Christmas.. it's only an option though, I promise myself every year to start early for Christmas so this is the ideal opportunity, so here is my first Christmas Card for this year.  LOTV are our sponsors this week so I have used an image from one of the pre-coloured art pads 'Festive Foliage'.  I love the colours in this image and have embellished it with some gorgeous deep red velvet lace from the Ribbon Girl, I should of ordered more of this as I think it's going to become a favourite on my cards!.. After taking thousands of photo's this is the best one I could come up with, but it still doesn't show the true colours of the card, they all match so beautifully, right down to the pearls which you can't see very well... I made the poinsettia from a Spellbinders die and the foliage is a Marianne holly die, also the papers are by Marianne too.. I love this Christmas pad!

Challenge Entered

Our sponsors this week are LOTV and are offering a £10 voucher to the winner, so do join us this week, we would love to see your fabulous cards, also do pop across and see what my fabulous teamies and guest designers have made.

That's it from me for today but before I go I must just tell you this, all the challenges I entered on my last card, except for one, I forgot to link up lol!! There is still time to link some of them up so that's what I'm going to do when I get home from work later lol!!  I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment lol!!

You all take care...

Hitching A Ride....

Good morning everyone,
My card today is for my brother John, he loves his bike and keeps wanting to take me for a spin on the back!!  I think this is the closest I am going to get on the back of any motor bike lol!!!  I have used this lovely image from Johanna Sheen which I coloured with my Prisma Pencils.   I think I might of gone a bit over board on the Tim Holtz distress inks!  I am trying to think outside of the box a little and not be too scared to be a little more daring with myself, if you know what I mean lol!!  I have also used my curved border die again.. I just love it and have been experimenting with different options.  I think this is one of my favourite dies at the moment, it can give such lovely effects.

 A peek at the inside

The papers are the fabulous 'Wellington' pack again, I can honestly say these papers have just been the best ever buy! the twine and little motor bike are from my stash, I think they were from the hobby house.. not sure as you pick up so many bits and pieces and then forget where you bought them lol!!

Chimney Santa

Good morning everyone... Wow! These Mondays come around so quick...so that means it's time for another 'Make it Monday' Linky party and today our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps...  I have been given this lovely image of Santa to play with which you can find here... sorry my card isn't finished as I have had lots going on this week.  I want to make this into an easel card and if I get a chance to finish it I will put the finished card on later.  I wanted it to be Christmassy and girly as it's for Candice....

I've really tried new things on this card lol!!  Like major distressing of the card and paper, even painted the paper with some crafting paste I bought from Lidl that was cheap as chips, and I think it just looks like that Gesso stuff everyone is using, at a fraction of the price.  The lovely snow flake has been bedazzled with lots of glitter, and is a die from Marianne.  I used chalk ink to colour the craft card and paper and also the snowflake, in baby blue.  My image was coloured with Prisma pencils and the sky is a copic pen, couldn't get the colour quiet right would have liked it a bit darker... My chimney has been covered with snowtex and the snow falling is liquid pearls... everything has had lots of gilitter applied!!...the gorgeous ribbon is from the hobby house and those little heart gems were from Cloes crafts that I got from a show.

True Love

Good morning everyone, time for another Make it Monday linky party, and today we are sponsored by Dr. Digi's house of stamps who has a brand new digital stamping site featuring an amazing range of digi's with a difference, for the crafter with a sense of humour. I have chosen the lovely Derek & Deirdery Dunderton, aren't they wonderful!  There are so many wonderful cards you could make with this lovely image.. my card this week is a love story....  I don't think Dr. Digi had flowers and glitter in mind for this lovely couple, but I couldn't resist lol!  When my Mum saw this fabulous image, she loved it, and said it reminded her of her and my Dad lol!!   My Dad bless him was a little smaller than my Mum, had no hair and always wore a cap, the only thing he didn't have was a moustache... Mum had some glasses like this many moons ago, and always wore a pinny (pinny was short for pinafore ... you would say apron now), but I must say my Mum is much better looking lol!!...

I've added a sentiment in this view

Or you could just have it plain to write your own sentiment

I love how this card turned out... I have been sat with it on my desk for ages and nothing was entering into my brain, then one morning I just did this and that and Voila!!! the card came together lol!!  The lovely papers are from a scrapbook set Nicole sent me from Germany, they are so bright and sparkly.. The lovely flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I glittered them all up with Stardust Stickles the Sentiments are from Create with TLC.. I love this site and Paulette has so many free sentiments too! I do find it hard to make funny cards, I can never think of the right sentiment, but I always manage to find something on Paulettes blog to help me....  The flower I made myself with a Joy Daisy Die, have been looking for one for ages and finally got one from Ebay...  The image was coloured with my beloved Prisma Pencils.... Oh! and I used glossy accents on their glasses, always scared to use this last, as if it goes wrong....oooh! I shudder to think lol!!!

Car Ride

Good morning everyone, really missed you all last week:(  Sorry I haven't been around all week as I haven't  had time for cards or blogging as my Mum has not been too well again...we had 3 nights at A&E with her having chest pains, she's also had a bit of an allergic reaction to some of the medication.  They are not quiet sure what is wrong so they are going to send her for an angiogram. She is staying with David and I at the moment and has had a couple of good nights so hopefully things are settling down a little.
I didn't manage to make a card for last weeks MIM as things have been a bit hectic....  Fortunately I made today's card a few weeks ago for my buddy at work, who's daughter and son-in-law had bought her a new car when her old one gave up the ghost lol!!  This lovely image called car ride from Bugaboo was ideal.  Her new car is bright red so I had a go with my promarkers for this one, don't think it turned out too bad!
Make it Monday Linky party #115 is now open, and we are sponsored today by the lovely Bugaboo Stamps, you can find this lovely image here.  Looking forward to seeing all your lovely makes this week!!

I made the flower myself with black and white card and used a brad for the centre. I embossed some white card with a bubbles embossing folder, the "thanks" sentiment is a cuttle bug die, I've had for ages.  Tina wanted "You are amazing" on the card somewhere so I used stick on letters from a scrapbook page I had in my stash, it worked out really well, and looked so nice on the card as on the lettering there are little red roses on some of the letters, unfortunately you can't see it on the photos's.  I also added a little star dust stickles around the inside of the card to add a bit of sparkle.  Finished off with a sentiment cut out with a spellbinders die one in black and one in white and some black ribbon and four little red pearls.

Bugaboo are offering a fabulous prize of 7 single digi's to the winning commenter, so all you have to do is comment on another entrants card, so the more times you comment the more chances you have of winning!  Good luck everyone!!

 Mandy at Paper Panda

Isn't this card lovely, I love steam punk when it is done as beautifully as this, and this is only Mandy's second attempt at steam punk!   The coggs are a spellbinders die and the gorgeous papers and toppers are from a CD she has recently purchased....Think I will have to put that on my wish list for Santa!!....
Do pop across to her blog and take a closer look and leave her a little love too!!...

That's it from me for now, hope you all have a great week, and hopefully I'll be able to get round to visit sometime this week:)....
Big Hugs,
Marjorie
