Loving Ewe

Good afternoon everyone, the snow has almost gone...thankfully!  It is still cold though!  I had a lovely surprise on Saturday, Mr Postman delivered me a lovely stamp from Whimsey Stamps, which I won a couple of weeks ago, all I knew was it was a stamp for Valentine's day.  Thank you Denise it's lovely. I'm not really into making Valentine Cards so I have made a card with her for my granddaughter Candice, hope she likes it..her favourite is pig's really but never mind I'm sure she will like Miss Ewe (that sounds like another sentiment for another card lol!!...da...da.. here she is in all her glory....

Sketch Saturday

I have followed the above sketch, what do you think?  It's not my normal type of image, I did colour her with bits of grey, but it looked awful, so tried pink.. and I have glammed her up with Glamour dust..it looks lovely round her heart but you can't see it very well on the photo.  The stamp is from Whimsey Stamps called Loving Ewe, Papers are Papermania - all loved up.  The lovely heart doily is from Tracy at Dies to Die for she sent me a sample with my order, such a lovely lady, and the heart dies are a cuttle bug die, the keys were on the same plate...aren't they lovely.  Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, all the rest is from my stash.

Would like to enter the following Challenges:

Hope you all have a great week, it's school holidays here, so I am sure I will be busy baking with Candice and shopping..two of her favourite things lol!!  Will be round to visit later... mwah!! Take care..

Kissy

Good morning everyone,
The weather is not too bad here in Yorkshire today, still have snow, but it isn't as cold.  Hope the snow that is lying doesn't freeze though!  My friend Jane has asked me to make a card for a very special friend, whom she loves dearly, who is turning 70 soon, she wanted lots of flowers on it..this is the first card I have made to order lol!!  Hope she likes it!!
I've chosen Kissy from Mo Manning..isn't she just adorable. Whilst blog hopping last week, I saw this on lovely Steph's blog, and new I just had to have this little beauty..that's the only trouble going walk about..Miss Pursey gets empty lol!! Anyway on to my card..I have used the sketch from Papertake Weekly Challenge, really enjoyed using this, and one I think I will use a lot.

I coloured her with Prisma pencils, and really like how the skin turned out, have been experimenting with different colours, was going to write them down..put them on one side..then had a tidy up and forgot to write the colours down durr!! back to the drawing board lol! I think she has tights on so coloured her little legs pink.  I love her hair, all those gorgeous curls!  I made the little flower in the corner from a Magnolia Doohickeys die called Vintage Daisies and my Sentiment is a die from Memory Box called Bistro Label both dies are from Dies to Die For. The sentiment is computer generated..I used Glamour dust on the image this time and stardust stickles on the flowers which are from Wild Orchid Crafts, also my little pink heart pins. The papers are from Papermania.

Wee Suzi

Good Morning everyone, Firstly I would like to say a big "Hello" to all my new followers, and a big "Thank You" for all the beautiful comments I received on my last card..you all do give me lots of love and encouragement...mwah!! love you all :O). I do love blog land lol!!
Any way  I spent most of my week blog hopping instead of cardmaking lol!!  You are such a talented lot lol!!!  I won a lovely prize from Whimsy stamps.. for commenting...  I was really chuffed... Thank you Denise :). Also I won Here Comes the Boys Challenge.. for my card for Steven...I was so excited lol!! Thank you Woo:)
I'm a bit late posting this week, due to my hopping instead of blogging lol!!
I've used the lovely digi image,  Wee Suzi from Sylvia Zet..love her images..they are just sooo sweet!!
A bit disappointed with the finished card...I think it's a bit top heavy and I didn't really want the corner embellishment there, only realized I had stuck it down, when I had finished lol!! That Tacky glue from Wild Orchid Crafts..doesn't move!!! also if anyone doesn't know .. you CAN'T use certain stickles on printed images either, my flowers don't look too bad but they have gone a bit black!  I normally use glamour dust..but forgot to do it before I stuck everything to my card...that's when I used the stickles!
So here's my card..

Entering for the following Challenges:

I was a bit scared at first when I down loaded this image, It looked a bit daunting at first, but I'm really pleased with the way it has turned out...couldn't do it without my lovely prismas.  I never thought I would be able to colour images, had a go with various pens..then Steven and Nicole bought me some Prisma's for Christmas last year and I ventured into a whole new world lol!! It took me ages before I ventured with them..scared of looking an idiot lol!! but I have gained confidence over the last 10 months..so anyone out there who may have got some for Christmas or as a pressie, have a go they are really lovely to use!
Sorry I'm waffling here, let me say good night, and thank you for stopping by, will be round to visit over the week-end.
Biggest of Hugs,
Marjorie

New Beginnings

Good afternoon everyone, what a week...hope the next months slow down a little as this one is going far too quickly lol!!  Firstly I would just like to welcome my new followers, and hope everyone has had a great New Year...Well on to my card for today, my neighbour and colleague has just had a new baby boy.  So my card today is all about "New Beginnings" I chose a Mo Manning image..isn't he gorgeous, but I had my problems, he's been coloured in more than once, as I struggle with skin and I wanted to do it with my prisma pencils, so lots of trial and error images lol!! I am really pleased how this last effort has turned out, tried lots of different colours and liked this one the best..the first one I coloured in looked like he had been sun tanning all afternoon and was like a red lobster lol!! I did enjoy making this card and isn't that ribbon from the ribbon girl gorgeous!  These papers I have used are also stunning and fit this little guy so perfectly!
