UNDER THE MISTLETOE

Good Morning everyone, it's a cold day here in Doncaster..but dry!  I'm busy getting ready for our trip to Germany next week, still have presents too buy....hopefully something will pop into my head before the end of the week lol!!  I'm so excited, can't wait to see my little grandson!
On to my card..it's a LOTV image called under the misletoe....isn't it adorable, I thought it would be ideal for Steven and Nicole. I just loved colouring it in, it's always the choosing of papers and design I struggle with...it amazes me how some cards just come together great...and others you struggle with..I've had a few senior moments with this one lol!! I bought the lovely gold trim from Germany on my last visit, need to buy some more.. I'm getting better with my pencils they are so easy to control ..love them!!  so tried to do the skin, don't think it looks too bad does it?  I've used red pearls in the corners and on the sentiment, and also used liquid pearls for the snow...it looks lovely in real life! Thought I would just mention, LOTV have got 10% off there lovely stamps and free postage......get yourselves over there.. before Santa has the lot lol!!!

Silver Fairy

Good evening everyone,
First of all I would like to say a big hello and welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy visiting and can see something you like, I know I get lots of inspiration when I visit all you lovely people out there, so thank you for stopping bye!!
What a miserable day it is here in Yorkshire, very overcast and damp bbrrr!! but not me....I've been playing for a few hours (actually all day..still loads of ironing!) I've made a card for WOC challenge Blue and Brown.  I have used silver fairy by Sylvia Zet...I just love her images, and isn't this little fairy just fabulous.  I was doing a sketch for another challenge but missed the date, (story of my life lol!) so changed it a little.

A peek at the inside

Sorry the photos are so dark, tried taking it with a daylight bulb. It is a lot better but the papers are dark as well. I used blue papers from Barely Mine and the snowflake paper is memory box 'Yuletide'. The large snowflake is a Christmas decoration from Tesco's.  The beautiful flowers are from WOC crafts. The image is Sylvia Zet's Silver Fairy digi download, and I have coloured her with prisma pencils.  I have stickled everything with stardust stickles (gone a bit overboard..I think!) but it is really sparkly!!

Entering the following challenges:

Well my lovely ladies, it's time to go and get the tea on (home made spaghetti bolonase tonight, my hubby loves it. My best friend in South Africa gave it to me about 35 years ago (Wow!! so long ago) and I still use it to this day.  Have a lovely week, will be round to visit later.

Funky Felicity

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been away for so long. Have been really busy with one thing and another, not had much time for myself, also mums not been 100%, I am taking her for more tests tomorrow! Have really missed not  blogging though, I think I'm having withdrawal symptom's!!lol!
Anyway on to my card,  she is called Funky Felicity, and was just the right image for Candice's birthday card, I wanted it to be girly and trendy at the same time, you know what 12 year olds are like, everything has to be just so lol!!  I used Bev's sketch, from an lotv challenge I was going to enter, but didn't have time for,  I do love this style of sketch and use it a lot.

 card recipe:
Papers: Papermania "Heather" capsule collection, studio paper and my scrapbox
Image: Digi download "Funky Felicity"
Colouring: Prisma Pencils - Copics for skin
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace/Ribbon: Ribbon Girl
Embellishments: Metal heart slider - Mei flower, gems papermania
Punch: Martha Stewart

I stickled her tulle and ribbon and around the image with stardust stickles, the studio paper is really shiny, can't see it very well, but it gave the card a lovely overall shimmer. The metal corners were from a show, and the metal embellishment in the right hand corner was off a friends wedding table flower arrangement! The lace from ribbon girl is also very sparkly. Candice just loved it!
